Responding to Consultations

The Scottish Government and other agencies such as major funders regularly initiate consultation periods for strategies, policies and new legislation.  Communities and grassroots delivery organisations hold the intelligence that needs to be fed into these consultations.  We can harness 35 years of experience of on the ground work in communities to influence policy.  We see our role as being a conduit between our long term clients and beneficiaries, (who often have no voice or are marginalised), and the policy changes that will ultimately affect them.

We have gathered sector views and fed into the consultations for Community Wealth Building and the national Historic Environment Strategy, and will be getting involved in the new phase of Democracy Matters work.
