Community Enterprise is recognised nationally as a support agency that has been a “boots on the ground” organisation for over 35 years. This listening and collaborative approach with grassroots organisations has helped us uniquely learn from and understand communities, from rural to urban areas. As a result, we have had long-lasting relationships and deep links, putting us in a strong position to conduct well-developed and insightful research that will help the sector respond to major changes.
We understand the impact national and regional policies and strategies have on our sector, and we know how important it is that initiatives developed by organisations are evidence-based. By producing high-quality research relevant to Scotland’s communities, we can strengthen communities and feed knowledge and information to policymakers to influence change.
Our research adopts an academic approach, which provides it with a solid foundation. We also bring sensitivity to our research, working with local people and communities to co-produce evidenced results.
This process ensures that any conclusions and recommendations are well supported and come from a robust background. Working with key partners, we conduct research into targeted areas of interest. This has included:
We can help with a range of research, from internal organisation, project, and practical research to national issues impacting our communities and our sector.
