Freelance Associates - Join our Consultancy Pool
£200–£275 per day (depending on experience) + expenses + training & mentoring
Community Enterprise is looking for freelance consultants to join our growing associate pool and help deliver impactful work across Scotland.
About the Opportunity
We are seeking skilled and interested individuals who can deliver high-quality consultancy and capacity-building support to a diverse range of community organisations within a wider support infrastructure.
As an Associate you could:
Contribute to projects by completing research and support tasks, working within a project team.
Lead short-term consultancy assignments as part of our support programmes, delivering support directly to clients with oversight and guidance from our programme managers and development staff
Typical areas of work include:
• Contributing to strategic and business planning
• Financial modelling and sustainability
• Community engagement and research
• Funding strategy
• Organisational development
• Governance and risk management
• Change management
• Digital systems, online presence and communications
Who We’re Looking For
We’re looking for people with experience in the voluntary, community or social enterprise sectors in Scotland, who bring strong research, analysis, or business skills. We are particularly interested in individuals with expertise in:
• Finance
• Marketing
• Impact measurement
• Managing organisational change and conflict resolution
A strong understanding of the Scottish policy landscape and inclusive, community-led business models is desirable.
What We Offer
Day rate at three levels:
• £200 per day for associates contributing to projects through research and support activities
• £275 per day for associates leading on small bespoke projects with support from the team
• Less often, we will pay a higher rate for those with high levels of expertise in relevant fields.

Please note: work is offered on a freelance basis as required and while availability is not guaranteed, we have a busy and diverse portfolio of projects.
