Crisis and Resilience Service

An exciting new role and an innovative new service
Many of you will know Victoria from her role as Director of Development at Community Enterprise but after 15 years, Victoria was excited to take on a new role with the organisation. We are thrilled to announce that Victoria will be stepping into a newly created and vital role as Crisis and Resilience Service Lead, supporting Scotland's third sector and social enterprise sector through a national Recovery and Resilience service. This is a crucial part of Scotland’s eco-system of support, working together with all the providers in the SESupportMap.scot.
This transition marks not just a change in title, but a powerful evolution in Victoria’s mission to support communities and organisations across Scotland.
Victoria joined Community Enterprise in 2010, bringing a wealth of experience from the private sector and national intermediary organisations, such as Social Enterprise Scotland and Senscot. Over the past decade and a half, she has been instrumental in shaping the strategic direction of Community Enterprise, leading our development team, coordinating national and regional business support programmes, and embedding impact and learning into everything we do.
Her leadership has helped hundreds of social enterprises and community organisations grow, adapt, and thrive. Whether it was through community-led planning, sustainability strategies, or impact evaluation, Victoria’s work has always been rooted in empathy, clarity, and a deep understanding of the sector’s needs.
So why the shift now? Victoria has always been driven by a desire to respond to the most pressing challenges facing our communities. In recent years, the landscape for third sector organisations has become increasingly complex. From the long tail of the COVID-19 pandemic to the cost-of-living crisis and climate emergencies, organisations are being asked to do more with less while navigating uncertainty and change.
Recognising this, Community Enterprise has been working in partnership with the Scottish Government, national support agencies and intermediaries, funders and other key stakeholders to develop a national Recovery and Resilience service—a coordinated support offer for third sector organisations facing crisis or seeking to build long-term resilience.
Victoria’s new role as Crisis and Resilience Service Lead is a natural extension of her passion and expertise. She will now focus full-time on leading this service, ensuring that organisations across Scotland can access the right support at the right time, whether they’re facing financial instability, leadership transitions, or strategic uncertainty.
In her new position, Victoria will:
- Coordinate the national Recovery and Resilience service, working closely with delivery partners and funders.
- Encourage entrepreneurship, finding new diverse ways to consolidate and grow
- Support organisations in crisis, helping them navigate challenges and identify pathways to sustainability.
- Develop tools, resources, and learning that can be shared across the sector to build collective resilience.
- Advocate for systemic change, ensuring that the voices of grassroots organisations are heard in national conversations about funding, policy, and support.
This is not just a support service—it’s a movement to ensure that Scotland’s third sector remains vibrant, innovative, and resilient in the face of adversity.
We’ll be sharing updates on the Recovery and Resilience service, including case studies, resources, and opportunities to get involved. Make sure to follow Community Enterprise and SESupportMap.scot for the latest news.
And if your organisation is facing challenges or looking to build resilience, don’t hesitate to reach out. Victoria and the team are here to help.
Congratulations, Victoria!
