Wester Loch Ewe is a dispersed area of three crofting communities north of Poolewe and the 1870s school closed due to population decline.  Community Enterprise undertook a period of consultation including stakeholder meetings, focus groups, a public event, survey and many one to one interviews.  This resulted in a feasibility study and finally a full business plan showing a future of the small school as a community space with a high quality adjacent bunkhouse.
