Blackwood Estate Woodland Project Feasibility Study

Blackwood Estate Community Association formed to safeguard Loch Wood, an ancient woodland near the villages of Blackwood and Kirkmuirhill, for future generations. We carried out community consultation within the restrictions in place at the time due to Covid-19, including an online survey and remote interviews with key stakeholders, and helped BECA to build on their previous business plan. With this information in place, the group made a successful application to the Scottish Land fund to purchase the woodland.
