Following a varied career in the private sector, Victoria moved into the voluntary sector over 20 years ago, working for national intermediary organisations, including Community Business Scotland Network, Senscot and Social Enterprise Scotland. She also worked in a freelance capacity for several social enterprises and charities to help them grow. Seeking a new challenge, she joined Community Enterprise in 2010 as a development consultant and later become the Development Team Lead.

More recently, she moved over to manage the Crisis Recovery programme, an innovative service supporting organisations to navigate difficulties.
