Rochana Sheward

Development Officer

Rochana joined Community Enterprise in 2026, bringing over 25 years’ experience across the charity, community, membership and social enterprise sectors in the UK and New Zealand, including experience as a CEO and Director.

She has supported organisations through growth, organisational change, strategic development and significant transition. Her experience includes strategic planning, Theory of Change, organisational development, governance and organisational sustainability, alongside budget development and financial planning.

Having spent much of her career in senior leadership, Rochana now particularly enjoys working alongside organisations to explore challenges, develop their thinking and build confidence and capacity. She brings a practical, whole-organisation approach, with a particular interest in understanding underlying causes and wider systems, and working collaboratively to find practical and sustainable ways forward.

Rochana holds a Master of Social and Community Leadership from the University of Auckland, where her research explored systems change. She is also a qualified mediator and leadership coach, with experience in facilitation, partnership working and community-led development.
