Rae Carlile

Research and Project Support

Rae joined Community Enterprise at the start of 2026, following completion of their PhD at the University of Edinburgh. They have experience researching alternative economic models and community-led change, with a particular interest in food systems and land ownership. They continue to carry out academic teaching and research on sustainable development alongside their work with CE.

At Community Enterprise, Rae supports across a variety of projects and research tasks, including stakeholder consultation, community engagement, and demographic reports. They are excited about the potential of community ownership and democratic business models for enabling positive social and environmental outcomes.
