Navigation of the community asset transfer process and support creating a business plan to save a community golf course from closure
The challenge
Hollandbush golf club first opened in 1958, so there was a strong reaction from the community when it was threatened with closure. Following a campaign from locals, the council offered a community asset transfer.
They needed support to navigate the transfer process and to create a plan that would ensure the viability of the club into the future.
How we helped
Acclerate supported the community as they navigated the asset transfer process. They supported the creation of a business plan and financial projections, suggesting income generation ideas to ensure future sustainability.
Accelerate were also able to foster connections with key partners at the local council and within the Third Sector which led to financial support, networking opportunities and valuable advice.
