Types of work: Local Place Plans and Community Action Plans

Developing a 20-year Community Action Plan to link in with investment from a local community wind farm

"We were very happy with the Community Action Plan booklet that was produced for the community as a result of a consultation during COVID. Even though people were reluctant to come out and participate, we felt that Community Enterprise were able to tease out the issues that mattered most to people at this time."

The challenge

Dailly Community Council commissioned us to develop a Community Action Plan identifying priorities for the community, which receives funding from the SSE Hadyard Hill wind farm.

How we helped

To encourage residents to think about how they would like their community to develop, we carried out a community survey, drop-in events, telephone interviews, and a creative contest with the local primary school.

The result

20 year Community Action Plan outlining strategic priorities for Dailly

Increased benefits and opportunity for the local community from strategic investment of funding

Dailly Community Council now has a 20 year Community Action Plan in place for 2022-2042. The plan has identified priorities for people in Dailly, to shape investment of Hadyard Hill funds and enable local partners to develop projects that address short, medium and long-term needs of local people.
