Support with marketing and building a new website and generating ideas for new income streams and expansion of services
“We would absolutely recommend the Accelerate programme to others.
It has been hugely beneficial to us.”

The challenge
Carrick History Society (CHS) was founded in response to the closures of local historical societies in the area. Their vision was to explore, research and interpret the history of Carrick (the old name for Southern Ayrshire) and give people access to a library of information in an inclusive manner.
CHS wanted to create a website and explore ideas to grow their membership, and generate new income streams.
How we helped
Through Accelerate, Community Enterprise guided the organisation through the process of creating a website.
We also explored ideas for income generation and helped CHS to build connections and networks both nationally and locally.
The result
Website created and ideas for income generation shared
Local and national connections established
CHS now have a website which can accept new member applications and payments as well as share information exclusively with their members.
They are exploring national examples of income generation and building links with schools, community centres, the council and other local groups and societies.
