The challenge
Cambusbarron Community Council was keen to produce a local Action Plan, identifying short, medium and long-term objectives for the community. The Community Council did not have the resources or expertise to carry out this activity and sought out our support to do so.
How we helped
We undertook a period of detailed community-based research in Cambusbarron.
We attended the gala day and undertook focus groups and street work with young people as well as a wide-ranging community survey and a well-attended public event. The Community Action Plan highlighted short, medium and long-term plans.
The result
A new Community Action Plan
With our support, Cambusbarron was able to start implementing the actions identified in the Local Plan and, working with other local groups like Cambusbarron Community Development Trust to help improve the lives of local residents.
