Event - A Different Approach to Community Led Asset Development

Like the financial crash of 2008, the impact of covid-19 is felt very keenly by our third sector.   It suffers the double whammy of an increase in demand on services (because the need in communities is so much greater) and a reduction in income.  But this time things are much worse.

Charities can't fundraise, events are cancelled, grants are more challenging to get.  Recent research shows that it is trading social enterprises that are worst hit because their trading outlets are closed or they are seeing a huge downturn in sales.

Very quickly the sector stepped in to help. From the Third Sector Resilience Fund to the Well-being Food Fund to the Response Recovery and Resilience Fund there is money to help.  Extra Just Enterprise support with quick access has been established and good information can be found at SCVO.

Our experience on the Community Enterprise phones is that people don't know where to start. There is real panic about what to apply for when. There is a combined worry about their own survival and a desire to help those in need.

Alongside many other partners, we want you to know that we are here to help, as we always have been, with free support to guide you in the right direction.

Our friends at BOLD have created an animation.  Have a look and give us a call.
