We provided support to Uig Church of Scotland in establishing its Hope and Wellbeing Hub within its Parish at the spectacular Uig Bay.

The Church has an ambitious plan involving five complementary projects – including development of holiday accommodation, a community growing project, and support for older people in the community. Collectively, the projects can support the Church’s sustainability, help to deliver the Church of Scotland’s Five Marks of Mission, and provide practical help to address material needs and challenges faced locally.  

Support through the Accelerate programme included development of an action plan to take the projects forward, as well as guidance on governance and income generation within Church of Scotland structures. The Hope and Wellbeing Hub continues to progress, and has the potential to become an exemplar for other Churches across Scotland.
